HERE IS A MILESTONE THAT WILL BE HARD TO BEAT

After 50 years on the job and with 50 years of membership within ATU Local
583 Calgary, Brother George Dorn made his final trip operating the Calgary
Light Rail Train today.

George was greeted by hundreds of people when he arrived on the platform at
the end of his final trip, a trip he has been making since the first day LRT
began service some 34 years ago.

Although his actual retirement day is later this year, after 16 years
driving bus and 34 years as a motorman, George has made a lot of friends.

Equally amazing is that George has been active in the Local since he first
came on the job. He has made the membership of Local 583 better off with
everything he has done and with the unwavering support he has provided to
countless Executive Boards and Social Committees over the years.

We look forward to sharing a long retirement with Brother Dorn through all
the ATU Social events he will continue to be a part off.

Thank you George for the incredible difference you have made for ATU and congratulations!
